Vintage Omega Chronograph 101.010-63 ¨caliber 321¨ from 1963

When you think of Omega chronographs the first thing you think of is ofcourse the speedmaster line. But in fact Omega made many different chronographs, like the de ville chronograph line and the beautiful Seamaster chronographs. These chronographs were made to accompany the Speedmaster line offering a less sporty and more elegant look. With the famous 321 movement inside which was used in many pre-moon speedmasters this watch is truly a stunner. This watch was worn by James Bond in the movie ¨SPECTRE¨ which further adds collectors value to this watch!

This beautiful Omega Chronograph runs on the famous 321 movement made by Omega. This amazing movement is placed inside a 35mm stainless steel case with square pushers and a steel snap-on caseback. The dial on this watch has a nice cream color and has 3 sunken subdials for the chronograph function. Surrounding the dial is a Tachymetre scale and golden hour markers to make the dial pop in its steel case. This watch has a black leather strap with an original steel Omega buckle and is in excellent condition for its age. The dial has some marks inside the subdials and around the edge of the dial.

What we love:

  • Beautiful gold accents
  • 321 Chronograph movement
  • Worn by James Bond in ¨SPECTRE¨

What you should know:

  • Crown has been replaced with a non Omega stamped one
  • Small specs on the dial

OMEGA

Omega is one of the most iconic Swiss luxury watchmakers currently around. Based in Bienne, Switzerland and founded by Louis Brandt in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1848. Omega was formally known as “La Generale Watch Co.” until incorporating the name Omega in 1903, when they became Louis Brandt et Frère – Omega Watch & Co. In 1982, the company officially changed its name to Omega SA.

Notable lovers of Omega watches:

Britain’s Royal Flying Corps chose Omega watches in 1917 as its official timekeepers for its combat units, as did the U.S. Army in 1918. Omega watches were the choice of NASA and the first watch on the Moon in 1969. In addition, Omega has been the official timekeeping device of the Olympic Games since 1932. James Bond has worn it in films since 1995; other famous Omega wearers, past and present, include Buzz Aldrin, George Clooney, John F. Kennedy, Mao Zedong and Elvis Presley.
