Vintage Omega Constellation Pie-Pan 14902-61 Gold capped 1962

Nothing can compare to a golden Constellation. One look upon this piece and all you can think is ¨Wow….¨ The wow factor is something that just has to be linked with the beautiful contrast between gold and black and of course the stunning attention to detail we are used to seeing on Constellations. With their iconic pie pan dial this gold capped Omega constellation 14902 61SC is truly one of the crown jewels of Omega`s Constellation line.

Combining gold with black is a well made choice by Omega since the combo just works extremely well. Made in 1962 and made with a gold applied logo, Omega letters and highly polished hour markers the details on the dial carry the golden theme in this watch to the next level. Together with unpolished dogleg lugs connected to the special 10k gold filled Omega bracelet can anyone not find this watch attractive? This stunning watch is running on the automatic cal. 561 movement with date function and has centre seconds. With a modest 34mm case diameter this watch fits any size wrist perfectly. The condition of this wrist piece is excellent, with a small scratch on the caseback next to the observatory logo.

What we love:

  • Stunning gold and black contrast
  • Beautiful black pie pan dial with golden details
  • Rare 10k gold filled Omega bracelet

What you should know:

  • Small scratch on the caseback
  • comes with both original crown and replacement crown

OMEGA Constellation

First appearing in 1952, the Constellation was designed to be Omega’s main watch. This was the brand’s first mass-produced chronometer grade wristwatch and the brainchild of designer René Bannwart. The Constellation was originally called the ‘Globemaster’ in the USA, though it was dropped in 1956 as Douglas Aircraft, manufacturers of the huge transport planes of the same name, held the trademark on the name.
