Vintage Omega Omegamatic PJ 196.1526 Full Set 1995

In the late 1990s Omega Launched the Omegamatic line to meet the demand for midsize diver watches. This special line was designed to be extremely functional by building a very robust case with a unidirectional bezel, perfect for diving. With big and bright lume hour markers this watch was made to be legible in deep waters and meet all the requirements divers asked for.

This watch dates back to 1995 and has aged very well. The lume in the hour markers has gained a custard patina over the years creating the perfect vintage look. On the inner circle of the dial is the iconic Seamaster wavy pattern. Together with orange details on the minute track, seconds hand and depth rating this watch surely stands out. The bracelet on this wrist piece has a special feature, the Bond style Omega symbol clasp. This beautiful diver runs on the automatic quartz movement cal. 1400 and has the hippocampus symbol on the caseback combined with the Seamaster wavy pattern. The condition of this watch is near mint and has some very minor scratches on the caseback, furthermore this watch comes as a full set.

What we love:

  • Amazing patina on the hour markers
  • Beautiful orange details
  • Unidirectional bezel

What you should know:

OMEGA Seamaster

back to 1948, the birth year of the Seamaster CK 2518. The model, when released, was to be a tribute to the 100th anniversary of the company. What made the Seamaster revolutionary at the time was its use of a rubber gasket for its water resistance. The technology was the same used in submarines at that time and remains in use even today.
