Vintage Omega Seamaster Day-Date 166.032/168.023 1968

Ever since the first Seamaster was launched in 1948 the famous model has seen many iterations. From noble metals being used for the case to many different dial designs, the Seamaster line has it all. To say one particular Seamaster is the best design is impossible to say, but we’re sure this one comes close! This gorgeous double ref Omega Seamaster 166. 032/168. 023 surely is a special one. Created in 1968 this watch was born with a mesmerizing frosted white dial which reflects light unlike any other. With the dial taking away all your attention Omega designers decided to add no lume to this watch. Instead they added Onyx to the hour markers and hands to perfectly contrast the stunning dial.

The stainless steel case on this watch wears extremely well with its 36mm size and fits any wrist. Together with the reliable cal. 752 automatic movement which has both day and date function this Seamaster surely is a daily wear watch. The screwdown caseback features the hippocampus symbol that the Seamaster line is known for. This watch is in excellent condition and still has very sharp edges thus showing no signs of polishing.

What we love:

  • Frosted gold effect on the dial
  • Beautifully contrasting onyx markers
  • Practical day date function

What you should know:

  • Watch comes without original box and papers

OMEGA Seamaster

back to 1948, the birth year of the Seamaster CK 2518. The model, when released, was to be a tribute to the 100th anniversary of the company. What made the Seamaster revolutionary at the time was its use of a rubber gasket for its water resistance. The technology was the same used in submarines at that time and remains in use even today.
