Vintage Omega Seamaster Day-Date 166.032 1967

Clean and functional watchmaking with a luxury feeling is what Omega is all about. A perfect example of this is the Omega Seamaster ST 166.032, ST indicating its case material being Steel. With the classic dress watch diameter of 36mm, thickness of 11mm and a lug width of 19mm this practical Seamaster is perfect for any wrist size. Housing a calibre 752 Automatic movement with day and date function you won’t have to worry about it’s timekeeping as this is a very reliable and sturdy movement. The stunning silver dial features an applied Omega logo and perfectly polished indices making it simple, elegant and easy to read the time. This dial however has a special feature, a pie pan dial! This means the minute-track around the rim of the dial is placed lower than the centre of the dial, creating a feeling of depth. The caseback features the authentic and iconic Seamaster hippocampus symbol. This watch was made in 1967 and has been preserved very well ever since featuring very sharp lugs, no scratches on the steel bezel and having no signs of overpolishing. The plexiglass crystal has minor scratches at the 2 and 4 o’clock position.

What we love:

  • Beautiful pie pan dial
  • Practical day-date function
  • Very wearable proportions

What you should know:

  • Watch comes as watch only
  • minor scratch on crystal

OMEGA Seamaster

back to 1948, the birth year of the Seamaster CK 2518. The model, when released, was to be a tribute to the 100th anniversary of the company. What made the Seamaster revolutionary at the time was its use of a rubber gasket for its water resistance. The technology was the same used in submarines at that time and remains in use even today.
